Hello, my name is Amy. I am the Student Services Counselor at the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Commerce Branch office. I have been with DOR since February 2023! I work primarily with high school and college students ages 16-21. I work with students throughout the Commerce catchment area. I have also partnered with local public charter high schools in the area as well. My goal is to also reach out to local private high schools, alternative learning & independent learning institutions as well. I strive to give each of my high school students 1:1 support, guidance, and leadership while navigating their young worlds. I also am an advocate for change, equity and inclusion for all students and all levels of learning. My experience in the field of mental health, education, substance use disorders and as a START Coordinator, have equipped me with the skills and knowledge in providing our youth with SEL support and guidance while preparing students for their transitional plans for post high school!
